My Experience on Tik Tok as a Wedding Planner

Whether you have downloaded the app or not, you most definitely have heard about the buzz surrounding Tik Tok! I started using tik tok for my business in early February after hearing MKW Creative Co constantly talk about how small businesses should be using this as a platform to gain followers and even book clients! (P.S. she has a great facebook page to help any businesses trying to break into the platform!) After a TON of trial and error on my tik tok page, I finally started building my views and gaining a following. I have now been on the app for 3 months and have gained a following of 80k, amassed 1.8M likes, and have had inquiries skyrocket from brides who found me on the app. So to any wedding vendors looking to start utilizing this new social media platform, here is my experience and what I have learned!

Proposal Story: Jennifer + Scott

At the top of the lift, we jump off and ski over to the side. I tell him to find someone to take our picture, and for some reason he asks the photographer instead of a fellow skier. And again, I should have known, but for some reason, I didn't register it. I guess I thought he figured if we liked the professional one, we would buy it and if not, we could get another one the next ski lift ride up. We take off our skis, and still I should have realized it but I didn't, which is evidenced by the fact I left my ski helmet on during the rest of what was about to happen, the proposal.

Proposal Story: Carley + Jake

Jake and I are high school sweethearts who have been together for 8 years. I am an elementary school teacher so I get a spring break & Jake took time off work to spend time down in Destin, Florida with my family and I for our spring break. We all like to call it one of our happy places. When I say I literally had NO IDEA that this proposal was going to happen.. I mean it. I thought the entire time we were just having a family vacation down there because I had no idea months prior he even asked my dad for his blessing. My family always does family pictures at the beach when our trip comes to an end. The day of the proposal everything was so normal so I did not think anything was going to happen. We all get dressed up for beach pictures and Jake told me to wear white.. but being stubborn like I am I choose to wear a blue romper because I literally thought it was just family pictures.. I love photography so I am always in charge of the photos so I got all the settings on the camera ready and my sister insisted that Jake and I go first to take photos while my brother in law took over the camera. I kinda blacked out at this point honestly but it was the most amazing moment of my life! While taking photos the love of my life got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.. it was the easiest yes I ever said! Out comes his family that was hiding in Destin the entire time, my family is there, the ring is everything I could dream of and more, and the proposal was the best surprise of my life. I cannot wait to marry Jacob Kane in the Spring of 2021!
