Special Event Recap: Savvy Giving by Design x Sistered States

As a small business owner, it is so important to get involved with charities and to give back to a community. Lucky for me, my very own sweet mama started a nonprofit organization that has allowed me an avenue to share my time and my extra lovin' towards a very deserving group of people. Savvy Giving by Design is a nonprofit organization that makes over the rooms of not only children facing life threatening illnesses, but also their siblings- giving the entire family a ray of sunshine through a dark time.

This past month, I partnered with Savvy Giving for their second annual fundraising event in San Diego, CA. I was honored when asked to design the 6 styled table settings to be auctioned off at the event! Everything on each of the individual tables was to go to the highest bidder at the end of the night. Of course I jumped straight on pinterest, threw some design boards together, hit up the local target/homegoods, and VOILA!

I wanted each of the 6 designs to be uniquely different from each other, and to incorporate all styles- from modern to traditional, from quirky to simple. The 6 themes we landed on are: Best in Show, Lemonade out of Lemons, Fiesta, Simply Striped, Southern Charm, and East Coast Lobster Bake. I still cannot choose which of these tables was my favorite.
